Updated 4/3/2011
The trough that has gradually been moving east through Queensland has now moved off the coast. A significant band of cloud is associated with this trough, stretching across the continent. which will bring further rain into Saturday. A high centred south of Adelaide is moving slowly east. It will ridge up the east coast during Friday, bringing strengthening on-shore winds for the weekend.
Oakey has received over 11mm of rain in the last 24 hours (along with 2.4mm in the previous 24 hours) and Dalby has had nearly 20mm in the same period. NOAA is forecasting a further 20-30mm rain for Friday and a further 5mm or so overnight and into early Saturday.
